Clipper City Marz Hon - Baltimore, USA

It's a Marzen Lager, an Oktoberfest beer. It was good, not great. But good enough for me to drink in less than a minute! Of course, I was washing down a Nathan's hot dog with onions and mustard. Good times! A rich malty flavor with mild hops back. Supposed to be a lager, but the coloring and the taste were closer to an ale.

But what happened to the head? I love beer with a nice, heavy head. The head on this beer vanished in seconds.

He'brew Genesis Ale - USA

Not bad, just a tad too malty. That's disappointing, because it smells nice and hoppy, but the taste of hops is fleeting. It's a tease, I tell ya! It's like a smoother, not as fruity version of Newcastle Brown Ale.

Tecate - Mexico

Back to the pilsners. Again, it's okay for after a sweaty game in August, but a little lacking in taste. A perfectly respectable beer, just nothing special.

2 pints.

Negra Modelo - Mexico

Finally, something more up my alley. It's an ale as opposed to the pilsners I've already had. Not too bad, but a bit thin. 2.5 pints.

Like Bud or Miller? You'll love Carta Blanca. 2 out of 5 pints.

Bohemia Clasica - Mexico

Not bad. Actually, one of the better Mexican beers I've had. It's a fairly crisp pilsner, with a fruity after taste. I'm sure I'd enjoy it more after a hot day of playing soccer or softball.

3 out of 5 pints on my 5 pint scale.
